This is the part that can add up in price as more razor heads are needed, especially if you want to keep the razor working smoothly with sharp blades. Manual razors are easy to maintain, with one razor arm usually being good for years of use as long as the cartridges are replaced regularly. Manual razors require more regular purchases ![]() This, combined with a lack of rash after shaving, makes for a more skin-friendly experience that could save you on skincare products in the longer term. ![]() Ingrown hairs are also reduced by using an electric shaver. This not only means less worry about cuts or scrapes but also can mean a faster shave without the need to repeatedly go over the same area. Unlike a manual razor, which runs a sharp blade across your skin, an electric shaver rolls up the skin, forcing the hairs up into a position that's ideal for cutting. Sensitive facial skin is better served by an electric shaver. In many cases, an electric shaver can also be used for body hair. This can mean anything from shaving your face closely daily to trimming a beard. Many come with attachments and tools that allow you to groom hair at varying lengths. If you want to shave many different areas and at varying lengths, then an electric shaver is the way to go. A wet shave means applying foams and balms which can be a good thing as they moisturise your face, or whatever body part you're shaving, to keep it healthy and vibrant for longer. Many electric razors do offer wet shaves, but they're usually not as good as a manual offering when it comes to a close finish.Ī wet shave can leave you with a smooth skin finish which looks cleaner, feels more breathable for your skin and also takes longer to grow back before the next shave. While electric razors are better than ever and they can provider and very clean finish, they're still not as close a shave as manual razors offer. I wanted to try a treatment and saw that this clinic has it.(Image credit: Braun) If you want a smooth finish use a manual shaver I went and had the consultation and decided to try the treatment. In order to book an appointment for the treatment they asked me to pay the full amount beforehand. I payed and booked for the following week. When I went to do the treatment they said “sorry we don’t have you on the system. ” I told them “why would I pre-pay for a treatment and not book an appointment? And why would I have the appointment on my calendar? ” They asked me to make another appointment for the following week. The day before my appointment I decided to call and make sure my appointment is still there. When I called they told me “Oh sorry, but the machine is not working. ” I proceeded to call and check if the machine had been fixed every 3 to 5 days with them telling me it’s still not fixed. I asked for a refund and they told me it’s not possible and to please be patient. ![]() Once the machine did get fixed I was able to make another appointment. I arrived for my 1: 00 appointment 20 minutes early. They told me there is a patient using the machine and she will be finished soon. I asked them and they gave me the same answer. By 2: 30 I had had enough and asked them and they gave me the same answer so I asked for a refund. The manager refused to give me the refund. When I saw that he had no intention to refund me my money that I had paid so long ago for a service they are not honoring I told him I will call the police. Then he said ok and said he will transfer the money back to my card. I told him ok I want a paper saying you are giving me a refund. He wouldn’t give it to me so I told him I’m not leaving the office till I have a paper saying that I will be given a refund. He finally gave me a paper and said I should have the money within 48 hours.
